Port Klang based CNC Freight Services recently completed a successful air-charter from Oslo, Norway, to Kota Kinabalu (BKI) using B747-200.
“Our initial plan for the B747-200 to load at Trondheim but it was necessary to switch airports to Oslo airport,” said Patrick Lee, managing director of CNC Freight Services, “This was due to lack of loading equipment in Trondheim as their highloader was broke down and spares could not reach in time for our charter flight.”
But the change in plans did not upset the apple cart for CNC Freight Services.
“Our own man, Khoo Heng Soon, was in Norway personally coordinating the operation from the start,” said Patrick Lee, “He was inspecting the cargo at the airport facilities at Trondheim, which was very fortunate for us in light of the handling problems that came up. And Khoo was present right up to the point of seeing the cargo loaded onboard aircraft at Oslo.”
CNC Freight Services is no stranger to air charter as they have done many in the past for projects around the world, especially to Sudan.
